We are pleased to invite you to the grand opening of the JCIRA Multicultural Center! We're marking the occasion with two exciting events, including music, refreshments, and activities for both adults and children.
The open house on Friday, June 9, features a proclamation to be read by Port Townsend Mayor David J. Faber, proclaiming National Immigrant Heritage Month in the city, recognizing the contributions of immigrants to our society and acknowledging the work JCIRA has done on behalf of immigrants and asylum seekers. Music for the event will be provided by Camelia Jade, a singer and guitarist from Chile.
On Sunday, June 11, we will celebrate with the party overflowing onto the patio of the Hacienda Tizapan restaurant next door, where a taco bar will be set up. D.J. David Bonobo will brighten the fiesta atmosphere with lively music.
