other washington partners & ORGANIZATIONS

JCIRA partners with other organizations in the Pacific Northwest that also provide services and support to immigrants and their families. Please check these websites for more information:

Kitsap Immigrant Assistance Center (KIAC)
JCIRA’s partner organization, KIAC, delivers a wealth of services and materials in multiple languages for immigrants and refugees. It has two main focuses, its Legal Services and Family Services groups. Both have salaried staff and large groups of volunteers who work out of their Bremerton office.

Legal Services Group
KIAC provides services in Kitsap county. In Jefferson County, JCIRA maintains an office in Port Townsend, staffed by several accredited representatives, that delivers low-cost immigration legal services in partnership with KIAC. They provide support for green card and naturalization applications, citizenship test preparations, workshops to “know your rights,” coaching for small businesses, immigration court representation, and much more.

Family Services
Staff and volunteers form a trusted resource hub to provide help with initial adjustment and ongoing support to help immigrants flourish. Immigrants can receive help in learning English, managing medical bills, and applying for financial assistance. Family Services also offers Covid-19 information on testing, vaccination, and mask distribution. Help is also provided for language interpretation and navigating schools, clinics, health insurance, domestic violence, civil legal aid and housing.

Anyone who needs assistance with legal immigration issues can call KIAC at 360-616-0479 (English) or 360-616-2722 (Spanish). See their website or their Facebook page.

For a quick look, check out this graphic (in English) or (Spanish) about their family and legal assistance.
