Kitsap Immigrant Assistance Center (KIAC)
JCIRA’s partner organization, KIAC, delivers a wealth of services and materials in multiple languages for immigrants and refugees. It has two main focuses, its Legal Services and Family Services groups. Both have salaried staff and large groups of volunteers who work out of their Bremerton office.
Legal Services Group
KIAC provides services in Kitsap county. In Jefferson County, JCIRA maintains an office in Port Townsend, staffed by several accredited representatives, that delivers low-cost immigration legal services in partnership with KIAC. They provide support for green card and naturalization applications, citizenship test preparations, workshops to “know your rights,” coaching for small businesses, immigration court representation, and much more.
Family Services
Staff and volunteers form a trusted resource hub to provide help with initial adjustment and ongoing support to help immigrants flourish. Immigrants can receive help in learning English, managing medical bills, and applying for financial assistance. Family Services also offers Covid-19 information on testing, vaccination, and mask distribution. Help is also provided for language interpretation and navigating schools, clinics, health insurance, domestic violence, civil legal aid and housing.

Northwest Immigrant Rights Project (NWIRP)
NWIRP provides direct legal services in addition to working against unjust laws and supporting immigrants and their families. The organization is also a good resource for immigration webinars and the latest information on DACA updates.
OneAmerica
The largest immigrant and refugee advocacy group in Washington state, OneAmerica plays an active and leading role in state and national coalitions working on immigrant rights, education, economic and environmental justice, voting rights, and immigrant integration.
Washington Law Help (LawHelp.Org)
This organization provides referrals to local legal aid and public interest law offices and social service agencies. The site offers extensive information on immigration, including resources, citizenship, health insurance, public benefits, and other concerns.
Washington Defenders Association (WDA)
WDA provides case-by-case immigration-related technical assistance to defense counsel for non-citizens in criminal cases; offering training and education to defenders, prosecutors, judges and others in the criminal justice system; and working to make the criminal justice system fairer.
Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR)
CAIR is America’s largest Islamic civil liberties group, with regional offices nationwide and in Canada. A nonprofit organization, CAIR works hard to challenge anti-Muslim hate, to defend the rights of American Muslims and to empower Muslim families, youth, children, and elders. It is a valuable resource for Muslim immigrants and refugees.
Integral Education Center for Latinos in Olympia (CIELO)
Celebrating 25 years in 2021, CIELO promotes community, self-sufficiency, and the leadership of Latinos in South Puget Sound.
La Resistencia (formerly Northwest Detention Center Resistance)
La Resistencia is a grassroots organization that has fought hard for years to close the Northwest Detention Center and vows to continue until it is closed for good. Find out what is happening there and how to get involved.
Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network (WAISN)
Dedicated to protecting and advancing the power of immigrant and refugee communities through a multiracial, multilingual, and multi-faith coalition, WAISN is the largest immigrant-led coalition in Washington. JCIRA is a strong partner of WAISN.
Washington Student Achievement Council (WASC)
WSAC is committed to increasing educational opportunities and attainment in Washington. WSAC administers programs that help people access and pay for college. DACA recipients or undocumented students are eligible for in-state tuition, and they may qualify for financial aid and scholarships. For more information see this page. Washington State Labor Council AFL-CIO
The WSLC has developed an Immigrant and Worker Justice Toolkit providing documented and undocumented workers, worker advocates and union leaders with the resources and support they need to create a just and fair future for immigrants in the U.S. Check out the toolkit.

ABBA House, San Miguel Allende, Mexico
ABBA House is one of 22 shelters in a national migration network for migrants traveling in Mexico. It is at the intersection of three main migration routes. ABBA house provides longer stays and resources to these migrants. It is the only refuge in Mexico that works directly with the International Red Cross and CRIT Guanajuato to help those who have lost a limb during their journey to obtain prosthetics.
Annunciation House
Offering hospitality to migrants, immigrants, and refugees in El Paso, Texas, Annunciation House volunteers live in the same houses as the guests they serve, wo are mostly from Mexico and Central America. Rooted in Catholic social teaching, the organization is a voice for justice and compassion on behalf of the marginalized of oru society.
Border Angels
Advocating for human rights, humane immigration reform, and social justice, Border Angels is a nonprofit that works along the U.S.-Mexico border. Dedicated to reducing the number of fatalities along the border, the organization assists communities on both sides. Services include educational programs, water drops in the desert, day laborer outreach, shelter aid and more.
International Rescue Committee (IRC)
This organization provides relief to children who are facing hunger. Millions of Afghans could run out of food this winter, and the IRC is committed to stay there and help.
