Jefferson County Immigrant Rights Advocates (JCIRA) remains committed to building a supportive and safe community for immigrants to live and thrive.
Our mission is to support the rights of immigrants and their families. We give priority to those who live or work on the Olympic Peninsula and to immigrant detainees in Washington state. Through our services, we:

- Deliver access to free or low-cost legal aid.
- Give small emergency cash grants for living expenses like rent, food, school fees and more.
- Offer support to families and assistance finding resources.
- Stand witness to demonstrate our commitment.
- Provide community education.
- Advocate for local, state, and national immigrant issues.
TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT WE HAVE ACCOMPLISHED
- Partnered with Kitsap Immigrant Assistance Center (KIAC) to provide low- or no-cost legal services.
- Provided rides, English/Spanish translation services, help navigating bureaucracies, and other assistance.
- Posted multiple petitions, sponsored card- and letter-writing campaigns, and engaged with elected representatives on matters of vital importance to immigrants, refugees, detainees, DACA recipients, and their families. Advocated at local, state, and federal levels.
- Provided information on the latest Washington State legislative actions, Congressional actions, federal and state courts, and Executive Orders.
- Promoted information concerning Covid-19 vaccinations and other Covid-19 assistance for immigrants.
- Participated in community outreach efforts, including distributing cards and flyers on JCIRA and immigrant rights.
